The Assistant Property Manager

Weinstein Properties, located in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our dynamic team. With over 60 apartment communities across Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia, we are committed to providing exceptional customer experiences.

About the role

This position involves front-line resident services, team interaction, and fast-paced learning. Leadership and management experience are required, with a strong emphasis on communication skills, customer-first mindset, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

  • Work with prospects to answer internet leads, make phone calls, schedule appointments, and conduct tours of the community.
  • Process leasing applications, prepare lease paperwork, request security deposits, and assist with signing leases.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, address their needs, and handle renewals, notices to vacate, early terminations, pet additions, and other requests.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to inspect apartments, monitor property needs, and follow up on work orders or maintenance issues.
  • Create a welcoming experience for new residents and assist with move-outs, including processing move-outs and security deposit dispositions.
  • Manage resident activities, plan, prepare, and host events.
  • Lead the team, assist the Property Manager, and contribute to achieving departmental goals.

Requirements

Leadership and management experience are required, with a positive energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset are essential. Previous property management experience is preferred but not mandatory if you have similar management experience from customer service, sales, or hospitality environments.

Qualifications

High expectations are set, requiring a hands-on training program to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge. The role involves working on your feet, engaging with prospects, walking the property, inspecting homes, and more. Expect occasional work outside standard hours for resident events or weather-related challenges.

Schedule

Weekdays: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturdays: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Sundays: Closed (Rotating Saturdays)
