Assistant Property Manager

The Assistant Property Manager position is based at Redwood Seniors of Willow Glen, a 140‑unit senior apartment complex located in the historic and upscale Willow Glen district of San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities

• Utilize and maintain all data in OneSite property management system.
• Efficiently process and file forms and documents as necessary, maintaining confidentiality of personnel and residents.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications, amenities, rates, sizes, and locations of property and all community policies.
• Present property and provide amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants.
• Advertise available units using a variety of media and promoting materials.
• Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals.
• Conduct all initial certifications, annual re‑certifications, and interim certifications.
• Audit all move‑in files and assist with move‑in certifications and qualifications as required by HUD.
• EIV reporting and investigations.
• MOR Audit preparations.
• Prepare and execute all required notices, interviews, verifications of household information, and completion of the Tenant Income Certifications.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of experience in leasing apartment communities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HUD, Section 8, and/or LIHTC.

• Accomplished interpersonal skills; capable of dealing effectively with employees, residents, vendors and co‑workers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.
