We are looking for an Assistant Property Manager to support daily property operations for commercial and residential assets. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can balance tenant service, administrative coordination, and property-related follow-up.
About the role
This position offers flexible part-time hours of approximately 20 to 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day coordination of commercial and residential property operations, helping ensure buildings, tenants, and vendor activities are managed effectively.
- Assist with tenant communications by responding to routine questions, tracking service requests, and following through on outstanding property matters.
- Maintain organized property records, lease-related documents, and operational files with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Help monitor rent activity, invoices, and other property-related financial documentation while keeping internal records current.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and outside contractors to schedule work, confirm completion, and document updates.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and general correspondence using Microsoft Office tools to support property management workflows.
- Contribute to compliance-related administrative tasks, including support for HUD-associated documentation when applicable.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the property management team and help prioritize assignments in a flexible part-time schedule.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience supporting property management activities in commercial, residential, or mixed-property environments.
- Working knowledge of core property management practices, including tenant support, documentation, and service coordination.
- Familiarity with HUD processes or related housing program requirements is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong working ability in Excel and Word.
- Comfortable using computer-based systems to manage records, communication, and reporting tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain accurate documentation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
