- Communicates all problems and special cases to the Property Manager and Property Supervisor.
- Processes re-certifications, including setting up interviews, assisting with form filling, following up with processing information, performing rent calculations, and preparing leases.
- Inspects site grounds and common hallways regularly.
- Maintains make-ready status of vacant apartments.
- Conducts housekeeping home visits and engages in marketing outreach to local agencies and businesses.
- Serves as a liaison and advocate for residents to public and private agencies.
- Carries out rent collection programs and eviction procedures in accordance with approved HHDC policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma (minimum); 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and property management software.
- At least 2 years of affordable housing leasing experience.
- Must have or be able to obtain a State of Illinois AMP Leasing Certificate.
- Experience with the Tax Credit program and affordable housing.
- Good communication skills, including fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
- A confident, positive attitude and manner.
- Able to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
