Assistant Property Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily property operations while modeling People Come First, ensuring residents feel valued and supported
  • Manage resident relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and empathetically
  • Support financial management including rent collection and accurate record-keeping, acting with purpose in all transactions
  • Assist with leasing responsibilities: showings, applications, move-ins/move-outs, and final unit walks, delivering a consistent and welcoming experience
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve operational and financial goals, cultivating and elevating team success and shared growth
  • Cook up and coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to maintain safe, functional, and well-presented homes (Rooted in Sustainability)
  • Support marketing and retention initiatives to attract new residents and foster long-term community engagement

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field preferred. In lieu of a bachelor’s, an Associate’s degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience required
  • 3+ years in property management, leasing, or related field
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in property management software (Entrata/Yardi preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid state issued driver’s license required
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas. Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions. Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds and fifty (50) with assistance. Regular travel may be required to assist other properties as needed, attend training classes, meetings or other situations necessary for the completion of some or all of the daily responsibilities. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend.
