Assistant Property Manager
Overview
A well-established property management company is seeking an organized and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to help oversee a 64-unit market-rate apartment community in West Bend, WI. This full-time role supports the day-to-day operations of eight residential buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter who enjoys building relationships with residents, coordinating property operations, and taking ownership in a collaborative but independent work environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support the daily operations of a 64-unit market-rate apartment community.
- Assist with leasing activities including responding to inquiries, scheduling tours, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
- Cook up maintenance requests and communicate with residents and vendors to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Aid with lease renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and security deposit processing.
- Maintain accurate resident files and property records.
- Help monitor rent collections and follow up on delinquent accounts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and ownership.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with the Regional Manager while developing the ability to independently manage day-to-day responsibilities.

What It Takes
- 1–3+ years of property management or related experience.
- Experience with leasing, resident relations, or property administration preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AppFolio or similar property management software is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Pay
$41,000 – $44,000+ annual compensation.
