About the role
BKM Management Company is a growing firm seeking a driven, entrepreneurial professional to join our team. The Assistant Property Manager will assist in all areas of the Property Manager/Senior Property Manager's job description, managing the property in their absence.
Responsibilities
- Administer administrative tasks such as document preparation, office organization, and filing.
- Support the property team with various ad-hoc projects.
- Answer and direct phone calls as receptionist.
- Manage weekly collections and account receivable reporting.
- Follow up on tenant work orders and ensure timely completion.
- Prepare and submit monthly tenant billbacks for approval.
- Set up job codes and input capital contracts in Yardi.
- Complete tasks in ASANA and draft contracts in DocuSign.
- Maintain tenant information databases and prepare annual operating budgets and expense reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate or other business discipline preferred.
- 3-5 years of work experience in a property management role within commercial real estate.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office system.
- Motivated and results-driven with strong work ethic.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgement.
- Yardi experience a plus.
