Summary
The Assistant Property Manager II supports the Property Manager in operational and financial aspects of a property to meet company goals. Duties include leasing, administrative tasks, resident retention, and marketing.
Essential Job Duties
- Handle incoming phone inquiries and schedule appointments for property visits.
- Qualify prospective renters, gather necessary information, and coordinate turnarounds.
- Absent from the Property Manager, handle resident requests, concerns, and comments.
- Administer office paperwork, including reviewing and coding invoices.
- Comply with safety program requirements and promote safety in the workplace.
- Perform market research and collect rental information data.
- Plan resident functions and assist in moving in/out processes.
- Manage rent collection and send notices for delinquent accounts.
- Administer maintenance work orders and follow up with residents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience as a Leasing Consultant or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Yardi (preferred).
Skills and Abilities
- Fluent in English and strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy in a clear, courteous manner.
Physical Demands
- Mobility to work in an office setting and use standard office equipment.
- Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions.
- Strength to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Vision to read printed material and a computer screen.
- Hearing and speech to communicate in-person and over the telephone.
- Quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required.
