About the role
Award-winning General Contractor based in Charlotte is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee their upcoming pipeline of work.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule.
- Cook up project activities and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Aid in the development and monitoring of project budgets.
- Track project costs, identify potential cost overruns, and implement cost control measures.
- Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure construction meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Identify potential risks and challenges in construction projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address issues to prevent delays and ensure project success.
- Communicate project status, updates, and issues with internal team.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, budget, and other key performance indicators.
Requirements
- 3+ Years as an Assistant Project Manager with a General Contractor.
- Experience managing multifamily or commercial projects - $15M+ ideally.
- Experience in preconstruction is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Applicable project management software proficiency (Procore, CMiC, P6).
- Thorough understanding of corporate and construction industry best practices, processes, standards, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, business aptitude, and professional character.
Qualifications
