About the role

Aid in managing projects from preconstruction through closeout. Support the Project Manager with scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination. Process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Attend the project site regularly and collaborate with field teams to monitor progress and address issues. Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and project reporting. Ensure project milestones, quality standards, and contract requirements are met. Support safety initiatives and maintain project compliance. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Contribute to project success while maintaining client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Schedule, budget, and coordinate procurement activities under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and manage project documentation.
  • Attend project sites regularly and work closely with field teams to track progress and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project alignment.
  • Support cost tracking, forecasting, and project reporting to meet project goals.
  • Maintain project compliance with quality standards and contract requirements.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and ensure project safety protocols are followed.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders during project meetings and throughout the process.
  • Contribute to the successful completion of projects while maintaining client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in construction as an Assistant Project Manager.
  • Experience on federal, healthcare, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project documentation.
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement activities.
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and build strong relationships with project teams and clients.
  • A desire to develop into a Project Manager within a growing organization.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in construction management or similar fields are a plus.
