Responsibilities

  • Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
  • Manage "small" and/or low-complexity projects under the supervision of a Project Manager or Section Manager.
  • Communicate client's requirements to each discipline.
  • Participate in preparing proposals, including leading the development of low-complexity proposals.
  • Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
  • May be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants, and outsourcing partners.
  • Follow established procedures to effectively administer projects, such as construction cost estimating, correspondence, documents controls, etc.
  • May assist in the training of other Assistant Project Managers or project team members to familiarize them with SSOE or the client's specific requirements.
  • May attend client meetings to take meeting minutes and prepare for distribution.
  • Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
  • Assist in logging Request for Information (RFI), submittals, filing, and productivity weekly project reports.
  • May assist in coordinating meetings and establishing all paper flow and document control with client, contractors, regulatory agencies, and others involved.
  • May travel to other SSOE offices and/or client locations for coordination purposes or to provide training.
  • Coordinate printing and processing of bulletins and addendums with Project Management Assistant (PMA).
  • Coordinate the completion and distribution of client as-recorded drawings and project close-out documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice or an Associate degree in the engineering field is preferred.
  • CAPM Certification is encouraged.
  • A minimum one (1) year experience as an Engineer 1 or a minimum three (3) years related experience.
  • Travel required.
  • Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in the following software packages: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CADD.
  • Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
