About the role

Are you looking to join a growing, highly respected commercial construction organization that has been delivering landmark projects across the Chicago market for decades? This is an opportunity to work with a leading developer and general contractor known for large-scale mixed-use, multifamily, office, retail, and complex urban development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff.
  • Track project schedules, budgets, procurement, and cost reporting.
  • Support subcontractor buyout and contract administration.
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation and turnover procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of commercial construction experience.
  • Experience supporting ground-up and/or major renovation projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and project management processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
