About the Role
This is an opportunity to work with a leading developer and general contractor known for large-scale mixed-use, multifamily, office, retail, and complex urban development projects across the Chicago market.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff.
- Track project schedules, budgets, procurement, and cost reporting.
- Support subcontractor buyout and contract administration.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
- Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Assist with project closeout documentation and turnover procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of commercial construction experience.
- Experience supporting ground-up and/or major renovation projects.
- Strong understanding of construction documents and project management processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
