Assistant Project Manager (Data Center)

About the role

This job opportunity is available at any location in the United States. The selected candidate will support ongoing Data Center projects in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S.-based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates.

Responsibilities

• Preparing RFPs
• Soliciting proposals
• Negotiating and managing contracts
• Coordinating design and construction teams
• Maintaining project governance
• Conducting field quality control of the craft trades at site
• Ensuring successful project turnover
• Working side‑by‑side with senior project managers in all aspects of project management
• Being mentored in complex aspects of project management and building relationships as you progress toward becoming a Project Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Construction, or Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• At least 2 years of experience working on large building construction or civil projects
• Knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, delivery systems, and components

Qualifications

• Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) certification (preferred)
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification (preferred)
