Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing effective work plans and man-hour budgets for supervisor approval.
- Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to meet client requirements.
- Supervise the work and productivity on assigned projects.
- Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity, and schedule of deliverables.
- Participate in or lead team meetings to ensure procedures governing project reviews and approvals are followed.
- Negotiate with clients on scope changes to project budgets and schedules with supervisor approval.
- Ensure all project work adheres to quality assurance and quality control standards, systems, and procedures.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with all employees involved in the project to maximize utilization rates.
- Review monthly man-hour and cost reports to ensure projects are completed within established goals.
- Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
- Prepare for public hearings, meetings, and other presentations related to projects.
- Afford billing department assistance in authorizing and transmitting bills to clients.
- Follow up with clients for timely payment adherence.
- Comply with health and safety programs and all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Oversight of assigned staff, including timesheet review and approval, performance evaluations, and daily supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations.
- Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, NPDES permitting, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development-related designs.
- Demonstrated Civil 3D skills with the ability to design site layouts from concept to completion.
- Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
