Responsibilities

  • Aid in preparing effective work plans and man-hour budgets for supervisor approval.
  • Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to meet client requirements.
  • Supervise the work and productivity on assigned projects.
  • Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity, and schedule of deliverables.
  • Participate in or lead team meetings to ensure procedures governing project reviews and approvals are followed.
  • Negotiate with clients on scope changes to project budgets and schedules with supervisor approval.
  • Ensure all project work adheres to quality assurance and quality control standards, systems, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with all employees involved in the project to maximize utilization rates.
  • Review monthly man-hour and cost reports to ensure projects are completed within established goals.
  • Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
  • Prepare for public hearings, meetings, and other presentations related to projects.
  • Afford billing department assistance in authorizing and transmitting bills to clients.
  • Follow up with clients for timely payment adherence.
  • Comply with health and safety programs and all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversight of assigned staff, including timesheet review and approval, performance evaluations, and daily supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, NPDES permitting, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development-related designs.
  • Demonstrated Civil 3D skills with the ability to design site layouts from concept to completion.
  • Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
