Assistant Project Manager

About the role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support day-to-day project management activities, including:
- Schedule coordination
- Subcontractor management
- Procurement and contract administration
- Cost tracking and forecasting
- Project documentation
- Client communication
You will facilitate collaboration between office and field teams, participate in planning and problem-solving efforts, and help maintain alignment between project objectives, budget, schedule, and customer expectations. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in construction project management, develop leadership skills, and contribute to complex and rewarding projects across various market sectors.
Requirements
- Four-year engineering or construction management degree (or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience)
- Two to five years of related experience
- Solid understanding of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, and applicable standards
- A valid driver’s license may be required; individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check, which could impact vehicle program participation
Nice to Have
- Experience on healthcare or other highly regulated projects (e.g., OSHPD or HCAI)
- Experience supporting self-perform construction operations
- Exposure to lean construction practices such as pull planning or takt planning
- Highly organized with strong communication and presentation skills; ability to multitask, build relationships, and foster collaboration

Pay
Anticipated base salary range: $91,000.00–$118,000.00 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
