About the role

The Assistant Project Manager position offers an opportunity to grow in a dynamic environment with a focus on construction technology, scheduling, and methodical approaches. Responsibilities

  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
  • Oversee project activities as assigned by the Project Manager, ensuring adherence to company and project policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain change orders, submittal, and document control logs.
  • Create and issue subcontractor contracts.
  • Create and maintain Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with project quality control plans.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities and progress.
  • Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
  • Prepare price change orders and project reports and documentation.
  • Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.

  • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.

  • Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to details and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to identify and meet customer expectations and requirements.
  • Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction-related role.

Schedule

General work environment - This position is performed primarily on active construction sites. Activity includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is typically low to medium. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
