About the role
The Assistant Project Manager will review project drawings and specifications, estimate project costs, prepare project proposals, and submit proposals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cost analysis and estimate expected project costs.
- Develop and track KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to measure project performance.
- Create charts and visual reports to analyze trends and communicate project performance data.
- Develop presentations that share KPIs, performance metrics, and key business insights with stakeholders.
- Prepare and implement a budget based on estimates.
- Travel to sites to review projects and meet with current and prospective customers.
- Bid projects within the industrial environment.
- Order materials and equipment for projects, and coordinate scheduling of staff and customers.
- Review engineered drawings to ensure the project is bid correctly and progressing as quoted.
- Conduct risk assessments, report identified risks to management, and provide mitigation recommendations.
- Address questions, concerns, and complaints throughout the project.
- Build relationships with prospective and current clients and vendors.
- Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One to two years of related experience (or applicable education).
- PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and controlled.
- Ability to perform inspections of sites, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to perform behavioral observations focused on safety and process improvement.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and report incidents, unsafe acts, or conditions immediately.
