Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist with material takeoffs — Support ordering and tracking materials for active projects.
• Manage purchase orders — Maintain and organize the PO system to keep procurement running smoothly.
• Review and label plans — Help interpret drawings and ensure plans are properly labeled and distributed.
• Support RFIs & submittals — Prepare, review, and assist with documentation flow for RFIs and submittals.
• Track timecards & production — Review labor hours and production numbers to support cost and schedule control.
• Assist with change orders — Help document, price, and process change orders and extra work orders.
• Coordinate project scheduling — Support job scheduling and communicate updates to the field.
• Communicate field information — Relay project details, updates, and instructions to on-site teams.
• Support risk management — Identify issues early and help propose alternatives to avoid delays.
• Participate in weekly meetings — Attend office construction meetings and assist Project Managers with ongoing tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Princeton, NJ. The role is fully onsite.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $52.88/hr.
