Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics or Internal Medicine
Responsibilities
- Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
- Formal lecture opportunities within the department
- Clinical consultations for high-risk neonatology and maternal and fetal conditions
- Prenatal genetic diagnosis
- Coordinating NIH-funded grant efforts with local, national, and international collaborators
- Participation in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts
- Publication record in neonatology, developmental or molecular medicine
- Intellectual independence and co-supervision of postdoctoral fellows, students, and research staff
