About the role
The University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks an Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology - Research.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research aligned with the department’s research priorities.
- Collaborate with faculty and other researchers to advance scientific knowledge in otolaryngology.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of otolaryngology.
- Participate in clinical practice and patient care within the department.
Requirements
- PhD or MD degree in otolaryngology or related field.
- Postdoctoral training in otolaryngology-research or equivalent experience.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience in grant writing and securing funding.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Mississippi.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pass a background check.
Skills
- Expertise in otolaryngology research.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
