About the role

The University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks an Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology - Research.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research aligned with the department’s research priorities.
  • Collaborate with faculty and other researchers to advance scientific knowledge in otolaryngology.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of otolaryngology.
  • Participate in clinical practice and patient care within the department.

Requirements

  • PhD or MD degree in otolaryngology or related field.
  • Postdoctoral training in otolaryngology-research or equivalent experience.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Experience in grant writing and securing funding.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Mississippi.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Pass a background check.

Skills

  • Expertise in otolaryngology research.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
