Job Summary

Mercy University invites nominations and applications for 9-month faculty positions in the nursing program. Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of nursing courses, with particular needs in medical-surgical, health assessment, and fundamentals
• Teach with an emphasis on high impact teaching practices, inclusive pedagogy, and active learning

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience in an academic setting preferred
• Unencumbered NYS License
• Experience teaching in an online format
• Experience working with diverse student populations

Education Requirements

• MS in Nursing (required)
• DNP, PhD, or EdD preferred

Physical/Other Requirements

• Must be able to perform tasks that may involve pushing, pulling, moving, or lifting up to 50 lbs., with reasonable accommodations as needed
• Must meet all role-specific general health and safety requirements in accordance with university policies and guidelines upon hire with reasonable accommodations provided as needed
