Responsibilities
- Teach primarily introductory and upper-level psychology courses, including in-person, hybrid, and online formats.
- Participate in the development and assessment of new curricula and pedagogical approaches.
- Provide student advisement and mentoring.
- Contribute to department, school, college, and university service activities, including but not limited to college governance, program assessment, day-to-day operation, and student recruitment and retention.
- Research resulting in publications and presentations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental initiatives and college-wide programs.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Psychology or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of psychology courses at the college level.
- Strong commitment to quality undergraduate teaching and learning.
- Active research program with record of scholarly publications.
- Demonstrated ability to work across disciplinary boundaries.
- Experience with diverse student populations in a metropolitan setting.
- Experience using online learning management systems such as Brightspace.
Pay
$76,937 - $94,909. Salary commensurate with education and experience. Salaries for eligible employees will be adjusted by 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
