We need to output HTML fragment with sections for headings where there is real content. Use

for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate like application instructions, EEO, etc. Must preserve all substantive information. We need to parse the posting. Key sections: - Application Deadline: "Review of applications will begin on October 21, 2026." This is metadata; could be placed in a short

maybe under a heading? Not a standard heading; we could include as a paragraph maybe under a generic heading? The instructions: "Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it." So we can include that as a

maybe at top. - Position Details: includes description: full-time faculty position on-campus, department, etc. This could be "About the role" heading. - Responsibilities: teaching various courses, possibly creating new electives, contributing to lab, PhD program, certificate program. Also teaching load details. - Requirements/Qualifications: Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications. - Skills: maybe expertise areas. - Benefits: not mentioned explicitly; maybe teaching load reductions, access to lab, etc. But we should not create Benefits unless posting actually states them. There's mention of "Successful candidates may also benefit from the Schieffer Media Insights Lab" and "have the opportunity to contribute to our college-level PhD ... or postbaccalaureate certificate program." Also "course reductions offered in the first year and fourth year". Those could be considered benefits. However the instruction: "never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them." It does state benefits like lab access, opportunity to contribute, course reductions. So we can include a Benefits section. - Pay: not mentioned; do not include. - Schedule: not mentioned; do not include. We need to use

  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. We must preserve all substantive information; not invent or summarize away detail. We need to remove boilerplate: Application Materials & Application Instructions, Employment Values Statement, etc. Also remove EEO etc. We need to keep content about department details, school/college description, about TCU, about Fort Worth. Those are substantive; we could include them under maybe "About the Department" or "About the College" but headings limited to given list. We could embed them under "About the role" or maybe create additional sections? The instruction says: "Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It gives examples but not exclusive? It says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Likely we should only use those headings. It says "include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it". So we can use those headings as appropriate. If we have content that doesn't fit those headings, maybe we can still use About the role to cover general description. Department details could be part of About the role or maybe we could create a separate heading like "Department Details" but that's not in the list; maybe we should avoid creating new headings not in list. So we should fold department details into About the role or Responsibilities? Probably About the role can include overview of department, college, TCU, Fort Worth. Thus structure:

Application deadline: Review of applications will begin on October 21, 2026.

    About the role

This full-time faculty position is on-campus and in-person. The Department of Strategic Communication in the Bob Schieffer College of Communication at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin in August 2027. We seek candidates whose research and teaching contribute to the field of strategic communication and expand the department’s strengths. The department has particular interest in candidates with qualitative approaches to strategic communication. We seek candidates whose research contributes to areas of disciplinary relevance and student demand, including: advertising and brand communication; sports communication; social and cultural implications of strategic communication; technology and society; digital, social, and emerging media. Applicants must be able to teach a variety of introductory and upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in our program, including, for example; introductory advertising or public relations, creative strategy, management, research, global communication, law and/or ethics, campaigns, or other required courses. Candidates may have an interest in creating and teaching new electives. Successful candidates may also benefit from the Schieffer Media Insights Lab, which is the college’s social and digital media research and teaching facility, and have the opportunity to contribute to our college-level PhD in Media and Communication or our postbaccalaureate certificate program in digital and social media analysis. The teaching load for tenure-stream faculty is 2-3 or 3-2, with course reductions offered in the first year and fourth year to support their progress toward tenure and promotion.

    Then maybe

    Responsibilities

with list: teaching courses, developing new electives, contributing to lab, PhD program, certificate program, etc. But we already included many responsibilities in About the role. To avoid duplication, we could split: About the role for overview, Responsibilities for teaching duties, etc. However we must not repeat info. We need to preserve all info; we can distribute. Let's extract responsibilities: teaching a variety of introductory and upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses (list), creating and teaching new electives, contributing to Schieffer Media Insights Lab, contributing to college-level PhD program, contributing to postbaccalaureate certificate program, maybe service? Not much else. Requirements: Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in relevant field by appointment; evidence of research productivity or developing research agenda with potential for publication in high-impact scholarly outlets; demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring; ability to contribute to a collaborative and collegial academic environment. Preferred Qualifications: expertise in strategic communication (brand communication, consumer culture, digital advertising, creative strategy, persuasion, etc.); expertise in qualitative research methodologies (in-depth interviewing, ethnography, discourse analysis, netnography, interpretive consumer research, critical-cultural approaches, or mixed-methods designs that incorporate qualitative inquiry); evidence of a research agenda with relevance to contemporary strategic communication issues affecting consumers, organizations, communities, or society; related professional experience and strong relationships with strategic communication industries highly desirable; commitment to providing active supportive learning environment, advancing knowledge through theoretically and practically significant scholarship, contributing to inclusive excellence. Skills: maybe list of expertise areas. Benefits: access to Schieffer Media Insights Lab, opportunity to contribute to PhD program and certificate program, course reductions in first and fourth year. We need to avoid duplication: If we put responsibilities list, we should not repeat same sentences in About the role. We can keep About the role brief overview, then Responsibilities list details, Requirements list, Preferred Qualifications list, Skills list maybe, Benefits list. Let's craft. First, metadata paragraph: maybe

Application deadline: Review of applications will begin on October 21, 2026.

but we should not add extra tags like strong? It's okay but not required. Use plain. Now About the role: brief paragraph summarizing position. Then Responsibilities:
    • Teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in strategic communication (e.g., introductory advertising or public relations, creative strategy, management, research, global communication, law and/or ethics, campaigns).
    • Develop and teach new electives as interests align.
    • Contribute to the Schieffer Media Insights Lab (social and digital media research and teaching facility).
    • Participate in and contribute to the college-level PhD in Media and Communication program.
    • Participate in and contribute to the postbaccalaureate certificate program in digital and social media analysis.
    • Adhere to a teaching load of 2-3 or 3-2, with course reductions in the first and fourth years to support tenure progress.
    Requirements:
    • Ph.D. in a relevant field (advertising, public relations, strategic communication, communication, marketing, consumer psychology) by the time of appointment.
    • Evidence of research productivity or a developing research agenda with potential for publication in high-impact scholarly outlets in advertising, public relations, and/or strategic communication disciplines.
    • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring.
    • Ability to contribute to a collaborative and collegial academic environment.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Expertise in strategic communication, including brand communication, consumer culture, digital advertising, creative strategy, persuasion, and related areas.
    • Expertise in qualitative research methodologies such as in-depth interviewing, ethnography, discourse analysis, netnography, interpretive consumer research, critical-cultural approaches, or mixed-methods designs incorporating qualitative inquiry.
    • Evidence of a research agenda relevant to contemporary strategic communication issues affecting consumers, organizations, communities, or society.
    • Related professional experience and strong relationships with strategic communication industries (highly desirable).
    • Commitment to providing undergraduate and graduate students with an active, supportive learning environment, advancing knowledge through theoretically and practically significant scholarship, and contributing to the inclusive excellence of the university community.
Skills: Could be a list of expertise areas: maybe combine from preferred qualifications? But we already have expertise lists. Could create Skills section listing: strategic communication (brand communication, consumer culture, digital advertising, creative strategy, persuasion), qualitative research methods (in-depth interviewing, ethnography, discourse analysis, netnography, interpretive consumer research, critical-cultural approaches, mixed-methods), etc. However we might be duplicating. The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So maybe we skip Skills section and incorporate expertise into Preferred Qualifications. But we need to use
    • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So we already have lists for responsibilities, requirements, preferred qualifications, benefits. That's four sections. That's okay. Benefits:
      • Access to the Schieffer Media Insights Lab (college’s social and digital media research and teaching facility).
      • Opportunity to contribute to the college-level PhD in Media and Communication program.
      • Opportunity to contribute to the postbaccalaureate certificate program in digital and social media analysis.
      • Course reductions in the first and fourth years of the tenure-track appointment.
We should also include department/college/TCU/Fort Worth description somewhere. Could be part of About the role paragraph. Let's enrich About the role with that info. About the role paragraph: include that it's in Department of Strategic Communication, Bob Schieffer College of Communication, TCU, Fort Worth; description of department, college, TCU, Fort Worth. Must preserve all substantive information. So we need to include details about department: home for advertising, public relations, new media; theories, methods, practices; state-of-the-art facilities; student-run agency Roxo; NSAC; guided internships. College description: four departments, 1,150 undergrad majors, 30 grad students, 60 full-time and 15 part-time faculty, experiential learning activities, off-campus study options. TCU description: founded 1873, private Carnegie-classified national research university, mission, rankings, campus size, enrollment, schools, colleges, disciplines, total enrollment, faculty/staff. Fort Worth description: 11th-largest city, population >1M, part of DFW metro, recognized as No. 4 best big city to live in 20
