Assistant Professor of Special Education

About the role

The School of Education at The City College of New York invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor position in Special Education to begin in the Fall of 2027. The position requires service to the department and college and academic advisement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues to seek external funding
• Collaborate with local school districts
• Teach courses in the Special Education program
• Participate in committee work

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Special Education or equivalent
• Ability to teach successfully
• Demonstrated scholarship or achievement
• Ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience teaching face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses
• Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses
• Commitment to urban education
• Experience teaching or working in an official capacity in public schools

Pay

Salary Range: $79,630 - $94,017
