Assistant Professor of Social Work
Faculty position in the Department of Social Work at the University of Southern Indiana, a public university in Evansville, Indiana. This is a 9-month tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2027.
About the role
The Assistant Professor will teach 12 credit hours per semester (4/4 load), including undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the CSWE-accredited Social Work program. Additional responsibilities include student advising, scholarly activity, and professional, university, and community service.
Responsibilities
- Teach 12 credit hours per semester (4 courses each semester)
- Advise students
- Engage in scholarly research and publication
- Provide professional, university, and community service
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Social Work or a closely related field (ABD considered at the rank of Instructor if degree is not conferred by hire date)
- Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program
- Minimum of two years post-master’s experience
