About the role
The Assistant Professor of Reading and Elementary Education will lead innovative curriculum development and instructional strategies that enhance student learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective reading and elementary education curricula
- Conduct research and publish findings in academic journals
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching methods and educational programs
- Supervise and mentor graduate students in their teaching practicums
- Participate in departmental and university committees
Requirements
- A PhD in Reading and Elementary Education or a related field
- Proven track record of successful teaching and research
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to continuous professional development
- Ability to teach a range of courses including literacy instruction, classroom management, and educational psychology
- Knowledge of current educational theories and practices
