About the Role
Lawrence University, a selective undergraduate liberal arts college and conservatory of music, invites applications for two full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology positions starting September 1, 2027. One position is in social psychology; the second is in cognitive, biological, developmental, or clinical/counseling psychology.
Responsibilities
- Teach two courses per term (three 10-week terms per year).
- Teach Research Methods on rotation plus courses in specialty area at intermediate and advanced levels, including laboratory course.
- Contribute to senior capstone and/or introductory psychology on rotation.
- Participate in First Year Studies program.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Conduct research and lead undergraduate research projects.
- Supervise independent study and internships.
- Assist in curricular planning.
- Departmental and institutional service.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in relevant psychology subfield prior to appointment (September 1, 2027); ABD acceptable for selection.
- Dedicated teachers passionate about working with undergraduates.
- Active and engaging scholars.
- Effective mentors for students from diverse backgrounds.
