University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Journalism & Mass Communications is seeking an Assistant Professor of Practice in Advertising and Public Relations to join its award-winning program starting in August 2025.
About the role
This non-tenure track position will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in advertising and public relations, help develop course offerings, initiatives, and programs focusing on advertising and promotion, and connect students with the professional community. The successful candidate will also contribute to curriculum development, provide service to the college, university, and profession, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in advertising and public relations, journalism, mass communications, or a closely related field
- Professional experience in advertising and public relations
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching expertise in advertising and public relations
- Professional experience managing teams related to client-specific work
