About the role
The Department of Oncology at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine is seeking a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join the Department of Oncology at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center on the campus of Cabell Huntington Hospital. This position will work in an academic comprehensive cancer center with dedicated oncology staff specializing in gynecologic, orthopedic, urological, lung, and colorectal cancers. The candidate will also work with faculty as part of an oncology fellowship program.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients with various types of cancer
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including surgeons, radiation oncologists, and other specialists
- Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Contribute to research activities within the department
- Engage in administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology
- Current Medical License in West Virginia
- Experience in academic medicine and teaching preferred

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Expertise in treating various types of cancer
- Knowledge of current treatment modalities and clinical trials
