Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in one of the following areas: Mechatronics/Control Systems, Aerospace, Machine Design, or closely related fields.
  • Industry experience is a plus.

Requirements

The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Show strong commitment to teaching excellence and student mentorship.
  • Develop an externally funded research program in their area of expertise.
  • Supervise student research at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Establish collaborative relations with local/national industries through industry-sponsored research and projects.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and accreditation activities.
  • Provide service to the department, college, university, and professional community.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $102,000.00.

Schedule

The successful candidate is expected to teach courses at all levels (3/3 load or 18 credits per year).
