About the role

Faculty should view their teaching, engagement with students, and scholarship as a means to a significant educational end. Responsibilities
- Teach in their areas of expertise
- Maintain the integrity of course and instructional programs
- Ensure delivery aligns with the University’s mission and vision for the student experience
- Create an academic atmosphere of mutual respect and consideration for individual dignity
- Aid in the development of curriculum in residential and distance education environments
- Engage in research/scholarship or creative activity
- Provide service to students and their professional discipline
Requirements
- Earned doctoral degree or terminal master’s degree at an accredited institution in an area relevant to the teaching field (preferred but not required)
- Professional certificate (e.g., CPA) (preferred but not required)
Qualifications
- Scholarly and professional achievements sufficient to attain the rank of Assistant Professor

Pay
$72,000.00 - $115,000.00. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range; actual compensation offered will depend on factors such as rank, contract length, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training, and other considerations as determined by the University.
Schedule
Full‑time, onsite position. Assistant Professors are contracted for 10, 11, or 12 months (30, 33, or 36 load hours, respectively). Release from contracted teaching load is determined each semester by the Dean per the Liberty University Faculty Handbook
