About the role

The Department of Marketing, Management, and Supply Chain at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a tenure-track position in international business. The successful candidate will contribute to the College's strategic emphasis on U.S.-Mexico trade and commerce through excellence in research, teaching, and service.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality scholarly research and publish in leading business journals.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in international business.
  • Participate in the Ph.D. Program in Business Administration through doctoral student mentoring and service on dissertation committees.
  • Contribute to departmental, college, and university service.
  • Support curriculum development and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Foster experiential learning opportunities.
  • Engage with regional businesses, government agencies, and other organizations involved in cross-border trade and commerce.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. with a concentration in International Business or a related business discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated strong potential for scholarly achievement and excellence in teaching.
  • Compelling evidence of potential to publish in top business journals on issues related to international business.
  • Commitment to high-quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Expertise or demonstrated interest in teaching international trade, global business analytics, and related subjects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants who:

  • Have recently completed all doctoral requirements or are nearing completion of their Ph.D., including those who have successfully defended their dissertation proposal or are preparing to defend their dissertation.
  • Have a research agenda focused on U.S.-Mexico trade and commerce, cross-border business, global supply chains, international strategy, or related areas.
