About the role
Bethel University seeks an Assistant Professor of American History post-1877. The successful candidate will teach 12 hours per Fall/Spring semester in American History survey and upper-level classes in late 19h and 20th century. Preference is given to candidates specializing in African American History and those with experience in Public History.
Responsibilities
- Teach American History survey and upper-level courses
- Teach courses on late 19h and 20th century American history
- Specialize in African American History
- Experience in Public History is appreciated
- Participate in advising, curriculum development, and committee service
Requirements
- PhD in American History or related field required
- Advanced ABD considered
