Assistant Professor of Electrical and
Faculty, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department with emphasis in computer engineering.
About the role
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, conduct research, and provide community and university service. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with a 9-month academic appointment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate courses in computer engineering and related subjects, including alternative delivery methods such as distance education.
- Conduct research and seek extramural funding.
- Develop curriculum and advise students and student organizations.
- Participate in outreach, including visits to industry and recruiting local students.
- Serve on department, college, and university committees.
Candidates with expertise or experience in high-performance GPU/TPU computing, machine learning, cybersecurity, IoT, or wearable systems are particularly encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related field (required by the start date).
