About the role
This full-time academic role combines clinical care, education, and surgical practice within a collaborative academic health system.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, with an emphasis on gynecology and gynecologic surgery.
- Staff resident gynecology services and actively participate in faculty practice.
- Collaborate with other faculty to support the division’s clinical, educational, and academic missions.
- Deliver patient-centered, high-quality care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Contribute to the teaching and mentorship of medical students and residents in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an approved residency training program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Texas medical license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG or equivalent).
- Candidates must pass the ABOG Qualifying (written) Examination before starting and plan to sit for and pass the Certifying (oral) Examination within 1-3 years of starting.
- Federally-issued DEA License.
Qualifications
- Five years of clinical experience.
- Prior academic experience in resident and medical student education.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong leadership and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to teach and mentor medical students and residents.
