About the role
The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of thyroid cancer and thyroid nodules. Technical skill in performance of radiofrequency is required.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include conducting clinical and education activities.
- Selected candidates will have the opportunity to teach in the endocrine fellowship and internal medicine residency programs in the Perelman School of Medicine.
- Academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
- Provide clinical care for patients with a focus on thyroid cancer and thyroid nodules.
- Perform radiofrequency ablation procedures and may also perform thyroid nodule fine-needle aspiration biopsy procedures.
- Be an integral member of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism with a practice based at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
Requirements
- Must have an M.D. degree.
- Board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism required.
Qualifications
Demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care.
Skills
Technical skill in performance of radiofrequency.
