Position Summary

The Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine’s Department of Cardiovascular Services is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join their growing faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with advanced heart failure, including those requiring mechanical circulatory support or transplant evaluation.
  • Participate in the development and advancement of the Advanced Heart Failure program, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Serve as attending physician at one primary site, with coverage rotating among two hospitals and satellite clinics.
  • Participate in inpatient rounding every 6th weekend, with support from cardiology fellows (no year-round call requirement).
  • Teach and mentor general cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students in both formal and informal settings.
  • Engage in scholarly activity including quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and collaboration with Marshall’s translational and biomedical sciences programs.

Additional Information

This position qualifies for J-1 visa sponsorship. Faculty are supported by an ACGME-approved cardiology fellowship program and advanced cardiovascular imaging programs.
