Assistant Professor of Accounting
About the role
The Assistant Professor of Accounting will teach courses including Intermediate I, Intermediate II, Accounting Theory, and Advanced Accounting. They will also advise students and contribute intellectually through publications and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Excellent teaching in a face-to-face and online environment
- Contribute to the department through scholarly research and publications
- Collaborate with colleagues and serve on committees at both college and university levels
- Participate in college and university recruitment efforts
Requirements
The successful candidate must possess a terminal degree in accounting or a related field and hold Scholarly Academic (SA) status by the job start date. They must also demonstrate a commitment to teaching, intellectual contributions, and service.
Qualifications
- Terminal degree in accounting or related field
- Research record compliant with AACSB-International’s standard on faculty qualifications
- Scholarly Academic (SA) status by the job start date
Skills
Proficiency in online teaching and classroom engagement, ability to publish in quality journals, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
