Job Description
The Department of Microbiology, Molecular Genetics and Immunology at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with research programs in the general area of microbial pathogenesis and immunology. The Department is currently undergoing expansion and growth. For the current open position, preference will be given to candidates taking innovative approaches to study molecular mechanisms of either (i) cancer immunology, or (ii) bacterial pathogenesis that complement and synergize with existing expertise within the Department and the KUMC research community.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, including postdoctoral training, with an immunology focus
Job Duties
- Establish or continue an externally funded, independent research program
- Actively participate in graduate and medical education
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
