Assistant Professor - Mechatronics Engineering Technology

Position Summary

Austin Peay State University invites applications for an Engineering Technologist or Engineer with expertise in teaching Electronics and Mechatronics. The initial rank for the person hired will be Assistant Professor. Preference will be given to those capable of teaching both lower and upper division courses in Electronics and Mechatronics. This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty position beginning August 1, 2018.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach courses in Electronics and Mechatronics
• Engage in research and professional activities
• Contribute to the growth and development of the department through recruiting activities
• Serve on departmental and university committees
• Participate in a variety of departmental activities

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Experience teaching Electronics and Mechatronics at the college level
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
