The Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Genetics at The University of Kansas Medical Center provides high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care within their area of specialization.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in ambulatory clinic, inpatient consults and on-call services.
- Model best practices for diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and conditions.
- Complete appropriate documentation of patient encounters for medical follow-up and timely billing.
- Instruct medical students, residents and fellows in clinical and classroom settings.
- Coach and guide learners appropriate to their educational level.
- Evaluate learner's progress.
- Contribute to various research activities of the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Genetics.
- Research could include trials or grant-funded studies.
- Participate in Division, Department, and School faculty activities as allowed by schedule constraints.
Qualifications
- Education: MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent.
- This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position.
- Certifications/Licenses: Board certified/board eligible in Endocrinology.
