The Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Genetics at The University of Kansas Medical Center provides high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care within their area of specialization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in ambulatory clinic, inpatient consults and on-call services.
  • Model best practices for diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and conditions.
  • Complete appropriate documentation of patient encounters for medical follow-up and timely billing.
  • Instruct medical students, residents and fellows in clinical and classroom settings.
  • Coach and guide learners appropriate to their educational level.
  • Evaluate learner's progress.
  • Contribute to various research activities of the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Genetics.
  • Research could include trials or grant-funded studies.
  • Participate in Division, Department, and School faculty activities as allowed by schedule constraints.

Qualifications

  • Education: MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent.
  • This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Board certified/board eligible in Endocrinology.
