Assistant Professor in Criminology -Teaching and Curriculum Leadership (Fixed Term)
About the role
The School of Sociology and Social Policy is a vibrant centre for social science teaching and research. We are a multidisciplinary School covering criminology, sociology, public policy, social policy, and social work.
Responsibilities
- Make a significant contribution to teaching in the School, and particularly our criminology programmes.
- Core undergraduate criminology teaching will be a priority, including research methods.
- Play an active role in School operations, for example by taking on an academic administrative role in relation to teaching.
Requirements
- A strong background in delivering educational programmes in criminology.
- Experience of supporting students and academic administration.

Pay
Salary: £46,049 to £58,225 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
Schedule
The position is on a one-year fixed term Teaching and Curriculum Leadership contract (full-time (36.25 hours) starting January 2027).
