About the role
The College of Business Administration (CBA) at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse seeks an Assistant Professor in Economics.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses (if applicable)
- Advising students
- Maintain currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment
- Evaluate students’ work
- Assess student outcomes
- Provide regular and substantive feedback on student work
- Maintain appropriate records
- Hold office hours
- Maintain an active, ongoing program of scholarship appropriate to their discipline
- Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and/or professional organizations
Requirements
- Doctorate in Economics or related field by start date
- Expertise in at least one of the following fields: Development Economics, Labor Economics, or Health Economics
- Evidence of the ability to be an effective instructor
- Evidence of clear and effective communication skills
- Demonstrated record of publication in peer-reviewed academic journals in Labor Economics, Health Economics, Development Economics, or closely related areas
- Experience teaching courses in one or more of the following areas: data analysis for business, labor economics, health economics, and Women in the U.S. Economy
Qualifications
