Assistant Professor Clinical Practice - Orthopaedic Surgery

Responsibilities

• Provide faculty for the clinical, education, and academic missions of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation
• Deliver direct patient care, including surgical procedures, consultations, inpatient and outpatient services
• Supervise and educate residents and students in the operating room, clinics, and inpatient settings
• Participate in departmental conferences and continuing medical education
• Engage in scholarly activities
• Attend local, regional, and national professional meetings
• Serve on departmental and Health System committees as needed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Completed an ACGME-approved residency training program in orthopaedic surgery
• Interest in trauma surgery
• Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Eligible for a Texas medical license without restrictions
