Assistant Professor (Clinical)/ Associate Professor (Clinical)- Rehabilitation Psychologist
About the role
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Utah School of Medicine and Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) is seeking a rehabilitation or health psychologist for a full-time faculty position. Rank will be dependent upon the selected applicant's qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong clinical practice involving evaluation and treatment services to rehabilitation patients, primarily on an inpatient basis at NRH with some dedicated outpatient time as well.
- We anticipate at least half of clinical time will take place on an inpatient basis.
- We are hoping for candidates with a specialty interest in spinal cord injury (SCI) and/or stroke although anticipate opportunities to work with a broad spectrum of conditions and presenting concerns.
Requirements
- Completion of a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited graduate school program.
- Completion of a one-year internship at an APA-accredited program.
- Completion of a one or two-year postdoctoral fellowship in rehabilitation, health, or neuropsychology.
Qualifications
- Applicants already board-certified, or eligible to apply for board certification, in health, rehabilitation, or neuropsychology are preferred.
