Duties & Responsibilities
- Work within Dr. Paul Fisher’s laboratory on funded research projects under his supervision.
- Contribute to an active funded research program focusing on cancer metastasis, immunology, and therapy resistance.
- Develop and maintain a scholarly/research portfolio with evidence of multi-disciplinary applications and external funding.
- Engage in service activities as they relate to university policies and procedures, including academic and research training.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in basic health sciences or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in multidimensional approaches to study tumor progression and metastasis, including experimental metastasis, survival surgery in animals, and live imaging.
- Hands-on working experiences in animal studies.
- A track record of publications in high-impact journals in the areas of cancer metastasis, immunotherapy, and mechanisms of therapy resistance.
- Prior experience in grant drafting.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
Salary Range
