About the role

The Details Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) and the Department of Dermatology at the University of Utah are seeking a productive, collaborative, and innovative faculty member to join their multidisciplinary team devoted to melanoma. The successful candidate will be appointed as a full-time Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Dermatology in the tenure track and as an Investigator at HCI.

Responsibilities

• Develop an externally-funded melanoma research program
• Participate in weekly treatment planning and research conferences
• Engage in collaborative research efforts with members of the melanoma disease-oriented research team (MDOT)

Requirements

• PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree
• Excellent record of basic, translational, or clinical research achievement in the area of melanoma, including peer-reviewed funding for Associate or Full Professor level
• Strong record of achievement as a trainee and strong potential for future success in the field for Assistant Professor level

Qualifications

• Focus on melanoma immunology or immune checkpoint-directed therapy preferred
• Suitably qualified individuals in all areas of melanoma research are strongly encouraged to apply
