About the role

Successful candidates will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and fully participate in all activities that support the School of Business and Industry (SBI) Academic Programs and FAMU’s mission; Develop research within the Accounting, Finance and Business Law Department; Assist in the development of courses, contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, assist in securing research income and grants and make a significant contribution to research, professional activities and policy development in the School of Business and Industry and the wider communities; and, provide effective management of the Department of Accounting, Finance and Business Law resources, consistent with the strategic direction and objectives of the School of Business and Industry.

Responsibilities

• Teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Participate in all activities that support the School of Business and Industry (SBI) Academic Programs and FAMU’s mission
• Develop research within the Accounting, Finance and Business Law Department
• Aid in the development of courses, contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching
• Aid in securing research income and grants
• Make a significant contribution to research, professional activities and policy development in the School of Business and Industry and the wider communities
• Provide effective management of the Department of Accounting, Finance and Business Law resources

Minimum Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution
• An outstanding record of research achievement
• A strong performance in university teaching
• A demonstrated commitment to academic excellence
• A demonstrated ability to attract competitive research funding

Pay Plan

This is a Faculty position.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education.
