About the Role
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in thoracic pathology, with preference given to applicants who also have cardiac pathology experience.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- American Board of Pathology certification (AP-only or AP/CP)
Responsibilities
- Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
- Clinical duties including thoracic pathology service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and its affiliates
- General frozen section service, autopsy service, and night/weekend call
- Opportunities to participate in clinical research and mentor trainees on academic projects (if desired)
Additional subspecialty interests to complement the Thoracic Pathology service will be considered.
